Joining Stanton | Barton in early 2015, Senior Associate Evan Porter brings more than six years of experience as a litigator in Missouri. Evan has handled matters ranging from products liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and other serious injury cases. Evan also has experience advising clients regarding employment litigation, non-compete agreements, wage and hour disputes, and professional licensing issues. Whether he is advising a single litigant or a large company, Evan takes an individualized and personable approach to understanding and achieving his client’s goals at every stage of a case.
In his free time, Evan enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Meghan and his young son, playing guitar, and traveling both inside and outside the United States.
Evan earned his Juris Doctor from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 2010. Before law school, he graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 2007, majoring in psychology with a minor study in political science. While at Vanderbilt, Evan performed research for a renowned psychology and human development research team. Evan’s work focused on the impact of cognitive bias on decision-makers inside the courtroom and in everyday life.
